Municipal, federal officials endorse Malala Yousufzai for Nobel Peace Prize

Toronto city council has voted unanimously to endorse the nomination of Malala Yousufzai for the Nobel Peace Prize.
She’s the 15-year-old Pakistani girl shot in the head by the Taliban for criticizing the militants and promoting girls’ education.
She is currently recovering in Britain.
Prime Minister Harper, N-D-P Leader Tom Mulcair, interim Liberal leader Bob Rae and Green party Leader Elizabeth May are among Canadian political leaders to sign the petition.
