Woman, 52, dies in crash on Hwy. 407 at Yonge

TORONTO, Ont. – A 52-year-old woman from Bramalea, Ont., has died following a crash on the eastbound Highway 407, Friday.

A garbage truck collided with the woman’s car around 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes approaching Yonge Street.

All eastbound lanes of the 407 were shut down from Bathurst to Yonge streets, but have since reopened.

Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Dave Woodford told 680News the car was disabled in a live lane when it was hit by the garbage truck.

She was the only person in the car.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw either vehicle beforehand is asked to call police.
