Some researchers are working to disprove the common saying, ‘you are only as old as you feel.’
A group of scientists in California believe they have discovered something of a developmental clock in the brain that can reveal, within a year, exactly how old a person really is.
The brain scans used by researchers identified 231 bio-markers which can pinpoint the subject’s age with up to 92 per cent accuracy, or far more than any previous measure.
They hope to eventually use the discovery to track disorders such as ADHD and autism.
