1 dead in double stabbing in Vaughan; police seek person of interest

VAUGHAN, Ont. – A 22-year-man has died and another is in hospital after a double stabbing in Vaughan, Ont., Thursday.

The stabbing happened just before midnight on Colombo Crescent, in the Jane Street and Teston Road area.

York police told 680news the men were stabbed during some sort of altercation.

A 27-year-old man remains in serious condition.

Investigators said they wish to speak with a man identified as Nema Mansouri, 28, in connection with the incident.

York regional police constable Rebecca Boyd told 680News Mansouri is not a suspect at this point.

“He’s being called a person of interest. I believe his involvement will be determined after he’s been provided an opportunity to speak to police,” explained Const. Boyd.
