Two rescued from pond after golf cart crash in Richmond Hill

Two women had to be rescued from a pond at the Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club after they crashed their golf cart.
The twosome was driving along a path near the 14th hole around 4:15 p.m. when the cart rolled down an embankment into the water, York Regional Police told 680News.
The golfers are wet, but nobody was seriously injured. Authorities say one woman was transported to hospital as a precaution.
It does appear alcohol may have been a factor.
