Weekend road closures: Honda Indy, Taste of Lawrence & other events

TORONTO, Ont. – Road closures will be in effect this weekend for several events, including the Honda Indy and the Taste of Lawrence.
- Lake Shore Blvd. W. closed in both directions from Strachan Ave. to British Columbia Rd. until July 8 at 11:59 p.m.
- Strachan Ave. closed from Fleet St. to Lake Shore Blvd. W. to southbound-through traffic until July 8 at 11:59 p.m.
NOTE: No eastbound or westbound traffic during these closures. The only available access to Ontario Place during this five-day period is from Lake Shore Boulevard at the foot of Strachan Avenue. Two alternative east and west routes are the Gardiner Expressway and King Street.
- Lawrence Avenue East will be closed, in both directions, from Birchmount Road to Warden Avenue, starting at 10 a.m. Friday to Sunday at 11:59 p.m.
- St. Clair Ave. from Winona Dr. to Christie St. will be closed in both directions from Saturday at 8 a.m. to Sunday at 11 p.m.
- TTC service will be detoured one block south onto Davenport Road, from Bathurst Street to Oakwood Avenue.
- Gerard Street East will be closed from Coxwell Avenue to Glenside Avenue from Saturday at 10 a.m. to Monday at 1 a.m.
- TTC will run streetcar or bus services along this route between 11 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. Regular streetcar and bus services will resume at 1 a.m. on Monday.
