Researchers claim they have designed healthiest full-course meal

Scientists at an independent British research organization claim they have designed the healthiest possible full-course meal.

Food researchers at Leatherhead Food Research incorporated 222 popular health claims into their menu to ensure the food contained the richest combination of vitamins and health benefits possible.

The meal begins with a fresh and smoked salmon terrine, which contains Omega 3 and DHA, both known to be good for heart and brain function.

Also included is a mixed-leaf salad, good for maintaining a healthy cholesterol level.

The main course is a chicken casserole with lentils, complete with plenty of protein, vitamins and minerals.

Finally, dessert includes a yogurt-based blancmange topped with walnuts to improve digestion.

As for a drink? Pure spring water to battle dehydration and a Cranberry, raspberry and elderflower sports drink for energy and electrolytes.

The research’s executive doctor Paul Berryman says they have shown that healthy foods don’t have to be dull, they just take some time and effort.
