Detectives investigate after man shot to death in north Oshawa

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham Regional Police Homicide Unit is investigating after a man was fatally shot in north Oshawa Friday night.

The man who was killed, believed to be in 30s, was pronounced dead at hospital after being shot outside a house.

Police believe the shooting happened around 8:00 p.m.

Officers were initially called to the scene of a home at 1520 Stevenson Rd. N, near Taunton Road. The victim did not reside at the home, according to police.

It was at the home that they found the victim in the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The killing marks Durham’s third murder of the year.
