Snow possible Monday as approaching storm expected to bring wintry weather

If you’re already in a spring frame-of-mind, a blast of winter weather is about to come as a big shock.

A storm approaching from the Atlantic seaboard is expected to bring windy weather and a mixture of rain and snow, with CityNews meteorologist Harold Hosein forecasting five to eight centimetres of snow.

“It could be mixed with rain at times, but the wind will make it feel quite cold tomorrow, and it will be very slippery for driving in the morning and continuing through the day,” Hosein said.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of Southern, Central and Eastern Ontario, because of the approaching stormy weather.

The temperature will be as much as 10 degrees below normal, with the winds making it feel even colder.
