Golfers set to tee off for Masters at Augusta National

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The 76th Masters Tournament tees off at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, Thursday.

It’s the first major golf tournament of the year, and for most golf fans, the most important one.

There’s more intrigue because Tiger Woods won his last tournament two weeks ago, and is the 4-1 favourite as far as Vegas is concerned.

Woods has won four green jackets — his last one was in 2005. He tees off at 10:35 a.m. ET with Spain’s Miguel Jiménez and South Korea’s Sang-Moon Bae.

Canadian Mike Weir, who won the Masters in 2003, has his first shot at 12:47 p.m. ET.

Last year’s champion, Charles Schwartzel, has a tee off at 10:24 a.m. ET.
