First Student Canada bus drivers in Mississauga, Thornhill reach tentative deal

TORONTO, Ont. – Bus drivers with First Student Canada, who transport students in Mississauga and Thornhill, have reached a tentative agreement.
The strike mandate for members of the Canadian Auto Workers’ union (CAW) Local 4268 expired Friday, which meant they could have gone on strike with 72-hours notice.
The ratification vote is scheduled for later this week.
Bowmanville and Lindsay have ratified a deal reached last week.
Local 4268 represents 750 First Student Canada drivers.
