Convicted killer Terri-Lynne McClintic, accused child killer Michael Rafferty’s former girlfriend, was on the witness stand for the second day.

McClintic testified in the days after eight year old was taken, she helped a neighbour hand out missing person flyers with Tori’s photo on them.

Tori’s father Rodney Stafford is in London for the trial and told CityNews that detail left him shaken.

“It’s very disturbing that one of the two people that is responsible for what happened was trying to hide it by trying to help,” said. “It’s very disturbing.”

On Tuesday, the court in London, Ont., heard McClintic admit she was the one who killed the little girl from Woodstock almost three years ago.

She also said she grabbed Tori on a “dare” from Rafferty.

McClintic told the court that Rafferty raped Tori in his car. According to McClintic, Tori’s murder happened shortly thereafter. McClintic said she used a hammer to hit Tori in the head and that the child was placed in a garbage bag.

After the murder, McClintic told the jury they drove to a Cambridge car wash where they cleaned the inside of Rafferty’s car and quote, “got rid of the evidence” by dumping four or give garbage bags containing their coats, Tori’s backpack and the hammer into a dumpster.

She said Rafferty told her to use a knife to cut the stains they couldn’t clean out of the backseat.

McClintic testified she and Rafferty changed their clothes and tossed the old clothing out the window along Highway 401.

McClintic said as she and Rafferty drove away from where Tori’s body was left, Rafferty told her “we should never speak of this again.”

McClintic also said she lied to police when she said Rafferty killed Tori.

Rafferty, now 31, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, sexual assault causing bodily harm and kidnapping.

The trial is expected to run through May.
