Woman charged with arson after her own home set ablaze

A woman in her 50s has been charged with arson after police allege she intentionally set her two-storey townhouse on Dixington Crescent, near Islington Avenue and Dixon Road, on fire late Sunday night.
Her son, believed to be in his 20s, was in the house when it was set ablaze along with a child police believe to be a neighbour.
Toronto fire crews were called around 11:40 p.m. Sunday night and the blaze was extinguished a little while after.
The child was taken to a hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
