Two separate GTA fires leave three children in hospital with minor injuries

TORONTO, Ont. – Two fires at opposite ends of the GTA have left three children in hospital with minor injuries.

Fire officials say they were called to an Oshawa home on Buena Vista Avenue, near Park and Bond Streets, just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Two children were taken to hospital as a precaution, but CityNews is reporting both are expected to be fine.

Meanwhile, in the west end, a child is being treated for smoke inhalation after a fire on Dixinton Crescent, near Islington Avenue and Dixon Road.

Toronto police have arrested one person in connection with that fire, although it’s unclear what the charge is.
