Mother who exposed children to crack cocaine gets two-year sentence

TORONTO, Ont. – A crack-addicted mother who exposed her kids to the dangerous drug has been sentenced to two years in prison and three years probation.

Speaking about the case, a judge says the toddlers were starving and living in appalling conditions.

Taranjit Grewal, 23, was charged with two counts of corrupting the morals of children and one count of possessing a firearm.

Police rescued the children from a home at 2727 Kipling Avenue in Rexdale in February 2010.

The children are now up for adoption.
