CFIA issues allergy warning for some Kettleman Bagel products sold in Ottawa

OTTAWA – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued an allergy alert for some Kettleman Bagel brand products due to undeclared soy, milk or sulphites.
The affected bake goods may contain allergens which are not declared on the label.
The following products are included in the alert:
Banana (cake), 600 g, allergens – Milk, Soy, Sulphites
Carrot & Pineapple (cake), 600 g, allergens – Milk, Soy, Sulphites
Triple Chocolate (cake), 600 g, allergens – Milk, Soy, Sulphites
Banana Chocolate Chip (cake), 600 g, allergens – Milk, Soy, Sulphites
Blueberry Lemon (cake), 600 g, allergens – Milk, Soy, Sulphites
Lemon Poppy (cake), 600 g, allergens – Milk, Soy, Sulphites
Marble (cake), 600 g, allergens – Milk, Soy, Sulphites
Chocolate Homentashen, 375 g, allergens – Milk, Soy
Prune Homentshen, 375 g, allergen – Sulphites
Apricot Homentashen, 375 g, allergen – Sulphites
Poppy Homentashen, 375 g, allergen – Sulphites
The products have been distributed in Ottawa.
So far there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk or soy or sensitivity to sulphites.
