Brampton and Etobicoke hospitals welcome first babies of 2012

Less than half-an-hour after the clock struck midnight on January 1, the Brampton Civic Hospital welcomed their first New Year’s baby to the world.
Parabh Jot Kaur Ahluwalia and Harpreet Singh Ahluwali had a baby girl, weighing 7-pounds-and-7-ounces, at exactly 12:27 a.m.
The little girl is second child in the Ahluwalia family and she will join her fifteen-month-old brother Amanpreet.
Both the baby and mother are doing well, and the family currently resides in Brampton.
Meanwhile in Etobicoke, the Etobicoke General Hospital welcomed their first New Year’s baby, a little girl, at 4:52 a.m.
Mya Olga, weighing 5-pounds-and-5-ounces, is the third child for parents Rob and Margherita Mileto.
She will join her two brothers, 2-year-old Gianluca and 4-year-old Michelangelo.
Both the mother and baby are doing well and the family says they can’t wait to bring their newborn daughter back home to Woodbridge.
