Woman arrested in connection with murder, police still searching for her son

TORONTO, Ont. – York Regional Police homicide detectives are searching for a suspect in connection with the murder of a 73-year-old Brampton man.

The remains of Ivan Newton Davison, 73, were found by a passerby near Caledon King Townline South on Monday. An autopsy later determined the man died of blunt-force trauma.

James Martineau, 29, is wanted for murder in connection with the case.

The suspect’s mother, Wendy Martineau, has already been arrested and has been remanded in custody until January 3. She’s been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.

James has been described as a white male standing 5’10” tall and weighing 160 lbs with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a hatchet man on his right neck and a tattoo of the word Chayce in script on his left side neck.

Police say the victim and both of the suspects lived together in Brampton.

Anyone with information surrounding the suspect’s whereabouts is asked not to approach him, but call police, as he is considered violent.
