Prince Philip released from hospital after four night stay

Britain’s Prince Philip has been released from hospital after undergoing treatment for a blocked coronary artery.

The 90-year-old Duke of Edinburgh spent four nights in the hospital recovering from a procedure to insert a coronary stent.

He was first taken to a heart specialist after complaining of chest pains on Friday.

Doctors say the elderly prince then successfully underwent a minimally invasive procedure.

He is now expected to rejoin the royal family at the Queen’s private estate in rural Norfolk.

Philip was forced to miss the royal family’s traditional Christmas festivities, which include attending a morning church service and viewing the Queen’s annual Christmas broadcast.

Despite the health scare, reports say the prince is in good spirits.
