Peel police search for suspect after violent sexual assault

BRAMPTON – Peel police are looking for the man who violently attacked and sexually assaulted a Brampton woman in broad daylight near a walking trail.

Around 3 p.m., Monday, the 51-year-old victim was walking her bicycle along the Max Rice Community Park pathway in the Ray Lawson Boulevard and McLaughlin Drive area.

The suspect allegedly came up from behind the woman and dragged her into the secluded ravine where she was attacked.

The male suspect is described as black, 16 to 18 years of age, 5’7″, slim build, with a short afro and a Caribbean accent.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something suspicious to call them.
