Peel police search for arson suspect, video surveillance captures explosion

Video surveillance captures arson suspect leaving the scene in a silver Dodge Durango.

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Peel police are on the hunt for a suspected arsonist in the wake of an explosion in Mississauga, Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. emergency crews responded to an explosion at the KMB Bridal and Photography studios on Dundas Street East.

The sprinkler system quickly doused the fire, but fire officials noticed the smell of gasoline before finding jerry cans stashed around the building.

The video surveillance, shown above, captured a man leaving the scene in a silver Dodge Durango. He was last seen fleeing southbound on Haines Road.

The suspect is described 5 foot 6 with a skinny build wearing blue jeans and black puffy hooded parka.

Investigators have immediate concerns for the well being of the suspect, due to the extent of the blast.
