Two men are in custody in Vancouver, after the RCMP made arrests in relation to a white supremacist group.
The men are linked to the group Blood and Honour, which RCMP officials say is a white supremacist group responsible for several attacks on people.
Police have identified two organized hate groups in British Columbia, and their confirmed membership ranges from a few people to more than fifteen, according to Detective Constable Terry Wilson.
Generally members are part of the neo-nazi subculture, but otherwise they may have few similarities.
“I wish we could put exactly what a ‘hater’ is in a bottle, but you can’t. They come from all walks of life, all ages,” Wilson said. “Typically this group is between the age of 17-30, and the only significant identifiable feature when it comes to neo-nazi groups is that they’re white.”
It’s unclear what specific charges the men will face.
BC is the only province in Canada with an RCMP unit devoted to hate crimes.
