Two sides in the YRT strike expected to head back to bargaining table

The two sides in the York Region Transit strike are expected to head back to the bargaining table … it’s just not clear when negotiations might resume.

ATU Local 113 President Bob Kinnear told The Toronto Star that the union will extend their availability to meet after the mediator reached out to them.

The glimmer of hope is emerging after the region signaled on Friday that it wasn’t going to interfere in the labour dispute between its three contracted bus providers and their 600 employees.
