TORONTO, Ont. – There is good news for Scarborough TTC riders who plan to use the light rail system coming to their neighbourhood.
At a city budget meeting Tuesday afternoon, TTC General Manager Gary Webster said the LRT line, which will go from the Scarborough Town Centre to Kennedy, will be completed three-years sooner than first thought.
The new system will be in operation in 2019, four years after the Scarborough rapid transit cars are parked.
The line will be linked to the Eglinton-Scarborough crosstown LRT, which will not be in service until 2022.
