Tuesday marks the 22nd anniversary of the Montreal massacre.
Women’s College Hospital is holding a commemoration ceremony in honour of the 14 women who died at l’Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal in 1989.
It’s part of a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, which was established in 1991 by the federal government.
Fourteen roses will be placed in a vase with a symbolic 15th rose included to represent women and children killed in domestic violence.
The ceremony starts at noon at the hospital’s auditorium on Grenville Street.
