LCBO expands recall of Woody’s vodka beverages

TORONTO, Ont. – The LCBO  has recalled 10 products from the Woody’s line of alcoholic vodka beverages after glass particles were detected in some bottles.

This follows last week’s recall of Woody’s brand Mexican Lime Alcoholic Vodka Beverage.

The following products are included in the recall:

  • Orangetini Orange Vodka Cooler – 4 X 330 mL
  • Pomtini Vodka & Pomegranate Cooler – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Blackcurrant & Apple – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Light Orange – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Pink Grapefruit – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Refresher – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Light Raspberry  – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Vodka Cola – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Sasparilla – 4 X 330 mL
  • Woody’s Party Pack (mixed flavours) – 12 X 330 mL

“In the interest of customer safety and in consultation with the supplier and their Ontario agent, we recalled these products immediately after our quality assurance staff confirmed the presence of glass particles in some bottles,” Dr. George Soleas, Senior Vice President, LCBO Logistics & Quality Assurance said in a statement released on Wednesday.

The LCBO says the problem seems to be related to the bottling process.

Customers can return the product to the LCBO will receive a full refund.
