1,500 turkeys killed in farm blaze

A fire at a turkey farm in Kettleby, Ont., has been secured for fire officials to investigate the cause.

York Regional Police told 680News that 1,500 turkeys were killed in the blaze that happened near Jane Street and Aurora Road.

Fire crews had to let the fire burn out because propane tanks were on the farm.

Airspace was temporarily restricted in the area through the overnight hours because of fears of an explosion.

No people were hurt in the blaze.
