Power restored at Toronto Western Hospital

TORONTO, Ont. – Power has been restored after an outage that affected Toronto Western Hospital and three other nearby buildings in the Bathurst Street and Dundas Street West area, Friday.

A Toronto Hydro spokesperson told 680News a circuit was lost.

It’s not clear exactly how it happened, but a construction crew was working in the area.

A hospital official told 680News the building has a backup generator and patient safety was not affected.

Power to the area was out for over six hours.
