Samuel Ampong, 22, charged for stabbing at City Hall Library

The stabbing took place at the Toronto City Hall library branch (Nov. 4, 2011)

TORONTO – The man charged in the stabbing at the City Hall Library on Friday afternoon remains in custody, after a brief court appearance.

The Toronto Star reported, the accused’s name is 22 year old, Samuel Ampong.

Ampong was arrested on Queen Street West after the incident, and was believed to have reacted over a computer terminal at the library.

Toronto Emergency Medical Services confirmed the man, in his 40’s, was taken to hospital  with serious injuries, suffering from two stab wounds. It appeared that he was attacked with a pair of scissors.
