Hamilton Catholic elementary school “cancels” Halloween

While there was costumes aplenty at schools across the GTA today, a Catholic elementary school in Hamilton ‘cancelled’ Halloween, citing both safety concerns and the fact that it takes away from ‘educational time in the classroom.’
According to the Toronto Sun, the principal asked students to dress in orange and black instead, and bring in items such as stickers to trade, instead of candy.
