Fire marshal called after early morning blaze in city’s west end

TORONTO, Ont. – It was a rude awakening for residents on Goodwill Avenue, in the Wilson Avenue and Allen Road area, after an early morning fire left a home in ruins.

Toronto Fire workers were called to the scene around 5 a.m. Saturday, where they found a large blaze at a home which appears to have been under renovation.

Surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution, but there have been no reports of any injuries.

The two-alarm blaze is now out and the fire marshal has been called to investigate the circumstances.
