Officers cleared in shootings at Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival parade

TORONTO, Ont. – Two Toronto police officers have been cleared in a pair of shootings that took place at the Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival parade.
30-year-old Kevin Murray was killed and 21-year-old Megan Martin was injured when shots rang out July 30.
The Toronto Star reports that Ian Scott, director of the Special Investigations Unit, declared the shooting “a great tragedy” but found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing on the part of the officers.
