17-year-old charged in connection with armed robbery in August

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have arrested a 17-year-old male suspect in connection with an armed robbery in August.
Police said several children between seven and 10 years old were robbed of their belongings while they were playing in the hallway of their building.
Police arrested a suspect Thursday night in the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West area, with help from the public.
Officers said a replica handgun was seized during the arrest.
The suspect has been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of robbery while armed with a firearm.
He cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
