Durham police are recommending that three good samaritans in Oshawa be honoured with civilian awards for saving the life of a 53-year-old man at a health club.
The man collapsed while working out at Premier Fitness on Ritson Road North on Friday.
Police say the man was not breathing and three members of the club rushed over. The members then performed CPR on the man until paramedics arrived.
The man was stabilized and taken to hospital.
