Cantaloupes from North York grocer may contain salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Metro stores are warning people not to eat cantaloupes purchased in those stores, because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

The affected cantaloupes were sold unwrapped, with no lot code sticker or product name.

The affected cantaloupes were sold from the Food Basics store at 2452 Sheppard Ave. E. on September 12.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these cantaloupes.
