Dealing with rude co-workers can affect your home life

Being around rude co-workers all day can have an impact on your home life, according to a new study detailed in HealthDay News.
Researchers at Baylor University surveyed nearly 200 full-time workers and their partners and found that employees went home stressed and distracted after a day of dealing with workplace incivility.
That then had a ripple effect on their partners – who had to pick up the slack and assume more family responsibilities, which in turn affected their performance at work.
The study’s authors concluded organizations have to do more to address the effects of ugly behaviour in the workplace, by encouraging workers to seek support, counselling or stress management.
