CityNews wins Gemini Award for G20 coverage

The Gemini Awards were handed Tuesday night for excellence in Canadian television.
CityNews reporter Francis D’Souza and his cameraman Alfredo Colangelo won “Best Breaking News Reportage, Local” for their coverage of the G20.
“I have to say, our coverage of the G20, we look back, we keep talking about it, Alfredo and I, and we keep saying to each other, this was an experience that we’ll never ever get to have again. And the fact that we were live right in the middle of that kettle and Queen and Spadina producing some – now – Gemini Award winning live television. It was just awesome. It was truely, truely magnificent,” D’Sozsa told 680News.
This was the first nomination for the pair.
