Suspect wanted in break-and-enter and sexual assault investigation

TORONTO, Ont. – Police are searching for a suspect after a home was robbed and the female resident sexually assaulted.

Police say on Friday at approximately 2:30 a.m. a 37-year-old woman was asleep in her home in the Kipling Avenue and Finch Avenue West area, when she was awakened by a person standing over her.

The woman told police she was then sexually assaulted.  The suspect fled the residence when the woman fought back.

The woman then realized her home had been broken into and ransacked with numerous items stolen.

There is no suspect description at this time.
