MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Charges are pending against one of the drivers involved in a two-car crash on the eastbound Highway 403 that shut down the highway earlier Tuesday morning.
Provincial police told 680News a car was rear-ended at around 2:30 a.m. near Britannia Road in the express lanes, causing both vehicles to flip over and roll.
Four men — two in each car — were rushed to hospital, and three suffered serious injuries.
One of the drivers had to be airlifted to St. Michael’s Hospital with critical injuries. He’s facing a charge of impaired driving.
Those eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours this morning as police investigated.
