Durham police officer charged with dangerous driving

TORONTO, Ont. – A Durham Regional Police officer has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm after a motorcyclist was hurt in a crash last month.

The charge comes after an SIU investigation into the June 30th collision.

Officials from the SIU said the officer was responding to a call when he collided with a man riding his motorcycle along Taunton Road in Oshawa.

The 46-year-old driver suffered multiple fractures in the incident.

Constable Bradley Brown is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Sept. 7.
