Body found in Lake Ontario near Centre Island

TORONTO, Ont. – A body was retrieved by Toronto police in the water of Lake Ontario near Centre Island, Friday.

Police told 680News it appears the body has been in the water for several days.

CityNews said the discovery was made by a kayaker.

So far, there has been no confirmation of identity.

A 35-year old man went missing on July 17 when he jumped off a boat near Cherry Beach. His body has not yet been found.
