SIU looking into death of man in Peel

TORONTO, Ont. – Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is probing the circumstances of the death of a man in Peel region.
On Sunday at around 2:00 a.m., Peel officers were involved in a confrontation with a man near Pearson airport on the ramp leading to Terminal 3.
During the incident police had to restrain the unidentified man, who was rushed to William Osler Health Centre without any vital signs, where he was pronounced dead.
GO Transit has confirmed the man got off a GO Bus near Pearson Airport around 1:40 a.m., but the rest of the circumstances are still unclear.
The SIU has designated three subject officers and eight witness officers. Anyone who may have information regarding this case is asked to contact investigators at 416-622-1886 or 1-800-787-8529 extension 1886.
