Heat wave cools slightly in Ontario, but full steam ahead Wednesday

TORONTO, Ont. – Forecasters predict Tuesday will likely be the most comfortable day of the week in most parts of Ontario.

Humidex readings in the low to mid 30s are expected for most regions, though humidex values could remain near 40 C in the extreme southwest.

Some parts of southern and eastern Ontario could also see smoke caused by fires in the northwest.

High heat and humidity are expected to return to all of southern Ontario tomorrow, with record-breaking temperatures forecast for Thursday.

In Toronto, for example, Thursday’s forecast high is 36 C, with a humidex reading of 46 C.
