Fans line up for Canadian premier of final Harry Potter film

TORONTO, Ont. – It was a sea of muggles and Hogwarts hopefuls in downtown Toronto on Tuesday as they waited to see the final installment in the popular Harry Potter series films.

The Canadian premier of the movie, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” drew a huge lineup of fans outside of the Scotiabank Theatre.

Some arrived early in the morning to make sure they got a good seat.

One girl told 680News it was not the lead character Harry that drew her out to see the film but the character of Neville Longbottom, who plays an important roll in the final film.

“Neville was my favourite, he was just so amazing. He was so small and quiet in the beginning and he comes out in the seventh and he goes out with a bang. He’s awesome. He does a really good job,”

As fans waited in line, Matthew Lewis who has played Neville in all eight films, drove past the theatre and waved to the crowd, causing cheers and screams.

Kiss 92.5 host Taylor Kaye got the chance to speak to Lewis.
