Man turns himself in after North York hit-and-run

TORONTO, Ont. – A man turned himself in to police after a hit-and-run in the city’s northwest end Monday night that injured a 46-year-old woman.

The entire incident was captured on cell phone camera.

The woman was struck by a car just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Keele Street and Grandravine Drive, located in the Finch Avenue West and Sheppard Avenue West area.

Toronto police Sgt. Tim Burrows told 680News the images are admissible in court.

“It would be tendered in as evidence in any proceeding. If accepted by the judge for a trial, it would be used as evidence,” he said.

The driver had fled the scene after the car struck the woman. She is expected to make a full recovery.
