A new report says Ottawa has agreed to pay nearly $2-million in compensation to businesses impacted by last year’s G8 and G20 summits.
According to the website iPolitics.ca, most of that money is for those affected by Toronto’s G20 summit which saw violent clashes between police and protestors in the downtown core.
iPolitics reports that nearly $68-thousand in claims will be paid out in connection with the G8 summit in Huntsville.
