Hard-core fans hope to score Game 7 tickets

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – “Die hards” doesn’t begin to describe these Canucks fans. They’re the ones camping out at Rogers Arena ahead of Game 7.

On the cold concrete, with noisy traffic and SkyTrains zooming above her, Hanna and her friends huddle under the shadow of Roger Neilson’s bronze statue. “I don’t know when else when I might have another opportunity to get to see them in the final Stanley Cup game.”

Rob has been camping out in front of the ticket counters at Rogers Arena since Monday, all in the hopes of snagging a pair of Game 7 tickets. “It’s probably the second best thing in my life after my daughter being born. I was the first in line. I’m the first guy in line right now to get tickets.” And are the Canucks worth camping out for nearly three days? “Born and raised here. 40 years I’ve been following this team since they’ve been here. Yeah, it means a little. Absolutely.”

He says if he gets the tickets, he’s taking his brother…maybe.
