Woman fatally struck while crossing Orillia street

ORILLIA, On. – Two pedestrians were struck, one fatally injured, while crossing the street in downtown Orillia on Sunday evening.
An 89-year-old woman suffered injuries to her head, leg and pelvis, and was rushed to hospital; the other victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ontario Provincial Police officials said, they were struck shortly before 7 p.m.
The female driver of the vehicle was not injured, but taken to hospital as a precaution.
No word on whether there will be any charges laid at this time.
Police are still investigating.
