VANCOUVER, B.C. – The party continues in downtown Vancouver, despite the Canucks melting down in the second period of game three of the Stanley Cup Finals.
A crowd of thousands gathered to watch their beloved hockey heroes face the Boston Bruins on the outdoor screen at Rogers arena, while proceeds from 10 dollar tickets for those watching inside are going to the Canucks for Kids fund. Some scalpers are selling them for as much as $200 each.
Police said they are treating the event as if it were a home game, and are preparing for crowd control following the game. A section of Georgia Street remains closed to traffic.
The Canucks won the first two games of the series and are only two away from winning the Cup.
