TORONTO, On. – A Toronto Transit Commission financial report claims the transit service is expecting a $39-million shortfall on its 2012 budget.
The findings will be presented to the TTC board next week.
The report assumes the city’s $429-million subsidy will remain the same next year; however, that could change depending on the final budget in September, TTC officials said.
The transit system is also expecting to add over 100 employees to its workforce.
